The scenery made up for the fact that, due to the amount of snow, the offroad section was clearly out of the question. So we switched to road cycling... and discovered the hordes of people that we'd missed yesterday. They'd apparently known that the road to Manza had been left unplowed for use by the cross-country skiers. Sigh... live (barely) and learn.

A few hundred meters up the road (elevation, not distance), we found ourselves in a winter wonderland - making us (OK, me) stop every so often for photos.
