You can get to Kyobashira Pass via either Route 2 or Route 3; by the latter, it's a straight shot diagonally down from Tokushima. Here you see the two views from the top of Kyobashira Pass, almost the highest one on Shikoku (the one that goes past Tsurugi-san is slightly higher). Here you see the view looking back (northeast)..

...and here is the view looking ahead (southwest - in this case, otherwise known as "down"). On Route 2, there's actually no need to go up this high; the main road leads directly down from Oboke-Koboke and straight into downtown Kochi at a much lower elevation. But if you can handle a few hills, I highly recommend this option - it's a great ride, through the kind of scenery you've probably come here to see. I'm not alone in liking this pass: a recent Japanese motorcycle rider's book detailing his visits to "1,000 mountain passes in Japan" chose this one for the cover.
