Something you don’t expect to see on a warehouse just north of Nayoro, Hokkaido. A friend of mine saw the original when it came to Japan in an art exhibition a few years ago.
Today’s leg would take me all the way to my northernmost point: Lake Kuccharo. It could just have easily taken me to Japan’s northernmost point, Soya-misaki, which you saw as part of the Northern Hokkaido route. Since I’d already been there, I decided to save time and end the northward journey at the lake 29 km down the coast.
