The shelter at the lake is designed for hardcore bird watchers, with a stove and a blackboard for people (researchers?) to report sightings. There was even a telescope for long-distance viewing.

SInce I’ll probably never get all the way up here in the wintertime, here’s a photo of a photo displayed inside the bird watching shelter. Views like this would certainly make the trip worth it... though I seriously doubt you could do any cycling.
