With the rain, all I needed was more water, but I remember quite a few waterfalls along the way. This was one of the nicest - not tall, but cascading into pool after pool of water vaguely reminiscent of Hawaii's Seven Sacred Pools.
Towada was socked in by clouds and scattered rain, and it's most famous for its fall leaves anyway, but circling it the next morning I found plenty of nice views like this, with the opposite shore playing peek-a-boo in the clouds.
