Here are some of the na-no-hana (rape blossoms) that you’ve seen in other tours such as the (other) Japan Alps tour. Apparently this is where the Canola oil in your kitchen comes from. Interestingly, rapeseed oil was produced in 1800s as a lubricant for steam engines (according to Wikipedia, anyway....)

Still trying to stay as close to the coast as possible, I found it was possible to cycle along this beach walkway all the way to the end - you can easily get back to the road (though it involves a very brief scrabble through grass).
