On this beautiful Sunday in early summer, there were groups of young people and families everywhere, particularly near the Arashiyama starting point. Since I was too busy taking route photos and greenery photos at that point, I saved all of my people-picture quota for the mid- to endpoint. Here is one of many impromptu picnics near the riverbank...
