The road from the tiny park to this building (a French restaurant) is probably the most dangerous section of the entire route: a couple of the curves are quite deceptive and are actually much steeper than they appear. Please _be careful_ on the way down; you can wind up in the other lane before you know it. Long stretches with low speed bumps recently placed in the road - probably to spoil the fun of the aforementioned mini-bikers - also make the road a jarring experience in places. In any case, this French restaurant is near the end of the downhill. During the daytime “tea time” hours, it's a nice place to stop for a (reasonably priced) cup of coffee or other beverage before the final downhill.

Ascending the stairs in the previous photo brings you to a scenic viewpoint that also leads to this circular bridge whose name, for some reason, is the Venus Bridge - maybe because of the curves? In any case, it's a popular photo spot for both visitors and dating Kobeites (offering much the same view as the tiny park, though not nearly as spectacular). From here, you go down the steep road, through a short tunnel, down a couple of hairpin turns, then a short but _extremely_ steep final section and you're in central Kobe. Turning left and then making the first right, Tor Road, will take you straight into the center of Kobe.
