There actually are some surfable waves in Japan... even though a surfer friend who lived in Japan for a few years returned to Hawaii primarily because he wasn't able to find enough good quality waves to suit him. If he had been a windsurfer instead of a waverider, I could have suggested Omaezaki...

Past the surfing beach, it was back to life as usual. Here, a fisherman packs up his equipment after a day's work (of undoubtedly recreational activity). The bikepath here is so nice that it's a shame that it disappears again relatively quickly.
