On my most recent visit, I managed to hit one of the two days a month that the market is closed (the 10th and the 25th of each month, unless it's a weekend or holiday). There were still a few people with stalls open, but what you see here was pretty much it.

I have a great deal of respect for the people who organize and lead large tours like this. However, it must be said that mistakes do happen. On the third year of the Tour, the leaders went the wrong way not once but TWICE on the second day. How long does it take to reroute hundreds or thousands of riders, particularly in a town like Wajima? By my count, 45 minutes each time. Here you see us waiting to be given the go-ahead.
