Unless you've left a cycle case or something in Kanazawa, you'll probably find it best to simply continue on down the coast to any one of several final train station destinations: the major city of Toyama, the slightly less major city of Takaoka, or the tiny (and nearest) town of Nanao. Buri (yellowtail) is one of my favorite local fishes, and this place claims to be "home of buri." This is just north of Nanao, an area that seems to alternate between rocky beaches and fishing infrastructure.
